I hear them march

I went outside, a child to play
nothing more, my friends waited
We all stood there while silence broke
and from nowhere a cold wind came

I hear them march
they break the ground
my suffering has no sound
but if it had would crush our bounds
and everyone surrender now

A siren’s call runs through my core
when nothing more is left to forget
measures the cost, alone I'm left
my empty hands holding the scales

I hear them march
they break the ground
my suffering has no sound
but if it had would crush our bounds
and everyone surrender now

I hear your voice
all through the waves
somewhere today
depart away
